About Department
The Team
The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department is staffed with qualified, competent, and experienced faculty members as per AICTE norms, possessing strong academic background and domain expertise. The faculty are actively involved in teaching–learning processes, laboratory instruction, student mentoring, and academic administration, ensuring effective curriculum delivery and attainment of Program Outcomes (POs) and Course Outcomes (COs). Faculty members regularly participate in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, seminars, and conferences to update their technical knowledge and pedagogical skills. The department invites distinguished faculty from IITs and NITs to deliver expert lectures on emerging technologies and advanced engineering concepts.
Career Scope for Students
The department offers wide career opportunities in emerging and high-growth technology domains such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), 5G and advanced wireless communication, VLSI design, embedded systems, and smart electronics. ECE graduates play a key role in the development of intelligent systems, next-generation communication networks, semiconductor technologies, and automation solutions. The program also prepares students for higher studies, research, startups, and multidisciplinary careers, enabling them to contribute effectively to industry innovation, digital transformation, and societal development.
Dr. Reema Dhar (HOD)
Dr. Reema Dhar completed her B.E. in 2005 from R.I.T. Sakharale, Shivaji University, Kolhapur. She received her MTech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering (Signal Processing) in 2011 from Lingaya's Institute of Management and Technology, Faridabad (M.D. University, Rohtak), and her Ph.D. in 2017 from Jodhpur National University. Her area of research is the “Implementation of Local Differential Binary Descriptor and CNN Classifier for Object Recognition in Various Modules.” With over ten years of teaching experience, she is currently serving as the Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Patna. She has authored more than five research papers in reputed Scopus-indexed journals.

Dr. Reema Dhar (ECE)
Dr. Reema Dhar of the Electronics and Communication Engineering department presented a paper titled Experimental Study on MPPT Solar Charge Controller using P&O Technique at the International Conference on Recent Advances in Materials Processing and Characterization (RAMPC-2025), organized by the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur, from 21 to 23 March 2025.
